I think it's connected to their sleep habits changing. Kate is now sleeping 10 to 11 hours every night and Lily is stretching to 5 or 6 then going back to sleep for around 4 more. Too, they're taking somewhat regular naps. A short one after breakfast, another short one after lunch then a bit longer in the afternoon and another short nap after dinner.
To make up for the night feedings, they're eating every two hours during the day. That makes for a crazy day for us, but they'll stretch that to 3. We're looking forward to that!
Developmentally, they're obviously doing great. We have to remind ourselves all the time that they were born 3 weeks before their due date and we need to use their due date versus their birth date for developmental milestones. From birth they're 14 weeks, but they're really only 11. Then add the 10 days for Lily and that makes her roughly 9 weeks old. They will catch up. Kate is close and Lily is obviously working on it. Overall, they're growing and gaining and developing fast fast fast, so when we step back and look at the big picture we're very excited!
